About Barish NGO

Join the race to make the world a better place

Barish is a Section 8 non-profit organization, established in 2024, committed to creating a cleaner and greener India. We focus on waste management, Ganga cleaning drives, and sustainable community development.

Working at the grassroots level, we empower local communities through awareness campaigns, workshops, and hands-on environmental projects. Our goal is to create long-term change by combining on-ground action with data-driven strategies that ensure measurable and scalable impact.

At Barish, we believe true transformation happens when people are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and support to take ownership of their environment. Together with our partners, donors, and volunteers, we are on a mission to build cleaner streets, healthier rivers, and a more sustainable future for all.

Our Mission

Our goal is simple: Clean India’s rivers by educating communities, driving on-ground cleanup, and building sustainable waste systems.

Why Ganga?

The Ganga supports 400 million people—but 3,000+ million liters of waste enter it every day. Plastic from rivers flows into oceans, becoming microplastics that harm life.
At Barish, we clean where it starts—on the ground, with people, for the planet.

We Take Action. To Make Better Changes

Barish is not just about cleaning rivers—it's about transforming mindsets.
Our actions begin where others hesitate: on the ground, in the community, and with the people.

Together, we’re not just removing waste—we’re rebuilding respect for nature.
